With
Cool Clear Water you can be confident that our bottles
are 100% free of Bisphenol A,
Why is this important?
Most water cooler bottles distributed in the UK are
made of polycarbonate containing Bisphenol A or BPA.
BPA is an Endocrine
Disruptor (Hormone mimicking) and recent tests have
raised concerns about the safety of this product.
This was exposed with the babies bottles
scandal. BPA is now banned in many countries
including the USA, Japan, Canada & Denmark.
With more and more countries adopting
the ban, the awareness of the risk has spread to the
UK and was featured in a number of newspapers in April
2010.
All our bottles from 2010 are
in the latest generation of Copolyester 100% free
of BPA.
In light of the current debate, we think that it is
safer to completely eliminate BPA from our bottles
so we have already replaced all our bottles accordingly.
You can be confident our bottles are free of BPA by
simply checking on the bottles themselves. In the
triangle, the statement under the number 7 reads BPA
free or Bisphenol-a free.
As well as being BPA free, Copolyester is
green & eco-friendly as it requires less
energy to manufacture than polycarbonate and is 100%
recyclable. |
